what happens next?

frequently asked questions:

how frequent are my sessions? i typically schedule sessions weekly or fortnightly, but we can adjust this to suit you.

does my caregiver come with me? it's up to you whether you prefer to have sessions alone or with your caregiver.

do i need to be in school? no, we are open to anyone into early adulthood.

do you have insurance? yes i have professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

what if i can't afford therapy? you may want to explore funding options like NDIS or Medicare. see my services page for more info. otherwise, feel free to send me an email.

does my caregiver need to know? if you're 16 years old and above, you don't need a caregiver's consent. if we're worried about your own or others safety we will need to discuss this further.

what is a child's occupation? an occupation is any activity that fills your time, not just your job. for a child, this might include going to school, engaging in hobbies, playing with friends, getting dressed - anything.

why don't you have a clinic? because i am a small and new business, i currently work without a clinic space. however, i would love to work towards having a clinic in the future.

how do i know if i need therapy? it can be really hard to figure that out. have a look at my services page for common difficulties i come across, or feel free to get in touch.

how do i pay? i have 5 funding streams available, see the services page for more info.

how many sessions do i need? the number of sessions depends on your funding, the severity of difficulties, and your own capacity. we can make a plan together that works best for you.

acknowledgement of country.

i acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first australians and pay respect to their rich culture, history and diversity. i specifically honour the Kabi Kabi and Jinibara people as the traditional custodians of the land on which i live and work. i thank them for their enduring connection to country and the pivotal role they have played in caring for the land, waters, skies and community for tens of thousands of years. their knowledge and care continue to enrich our shared community.  i pay my respects to elders past, present and emerging. i recognise their strength and wisdom. may their insights inspire us all as we strive for a more respectful and inclusive future.  i acknowledge the ongoing impact of colonisation and commit to listening, learning and growing in understanding.
